Olvarit Ingredient

Baby’s taste

A thing you see at the experience economy is that producers come closer to the consumers of their products. That is why I would love to show this youtube movie about Olvarit, the baby-food brand of Nutricia.

What?

Olvarit organized an exclusive dinner  for twenty babies from Belgium. The diner takes place in a restaurant which has been rewarded with a Michelin-star. The restaurant is called ‘De Pastorie’ at Lichtaart. Chief cook Carl Wens, from the ‘de Pastorie’,  created with Olvarit Ingrediënt two new courses. Not completely new as the baby-food already existed, but visually they are new. He made mousses and other textures you could order at top-restaurants.

It is amazing that they organized this dinner tor to inspire parents how they could be more creative with the new product of Olvarit Ingrediënt. Jars with a paste made of meat or fish which you can combine with vegetables the parents pick by themselves. Parents are sometimes not creative enough and need some inspiration about which vegetables to use.

Why?

On the menu were six different meals created with the new baby-food jars. While the babies were enjoying their meals, the parents got the inspiration. So instead of buying the readymade meals, the parents were experiencing making food for their youngsters. They could experience the time, love and dedication that is needed for a good meal.

The children were experiencing the taste and texture of home made food instead of ready made. We want Authenticity and no longer the preproduces stuff. As this chef still used a meat or fish paste, it is not completely authentic, but it is already an improvement that the children get fresh vegetables instead of readymade veggies. As the society is busy and parents do not have a lot of time, it is important that they still experience their meals and the meals of their children; they have to de-stress and take the time.
